Position Details:

• Status - Part Time; 36 hours per week
• Evening Shift - 7pm - 7:30am
• Weekend work required

Position Summary: The Patient Clerical Assistant performs clerical and receptionist duties for the unit. Job duties affect patient care through the completion of tasks which permit others to provide direct patient care. Work requires communication outside of the work group and external contacts require providing or obtaining factual information.

Minimum Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
• Associates degree preferred.
• One (1) year demonstrated experience interacting with the public.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Strong interpersonal skills including sensitivity, maturity, and tact necessary to communicate effectively with patients, family members and co-workers, and the ability to work efficiently with episodic interruptions in work flow.
• Ability to problem solve, anticipate needs and take initiative are required.
• Ability to use a computer (Epic, SAP, Transquest, and HillRom), following clear instructions and procedures for looking up relevant data and sending and receiving emails. 4. Must be able to pass all hospital competencies required for the position.
• Knowledge of SAP is preferred.

Salary Range: Minimum 17.87/hour - Maximum 20.60/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
