**Responsibilities** **Position Summary:** The Respiratory Therapist is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients ranging in age from birth to geriatric. The Respiratory Therapist will provide safe therapeutic care for these patients by the use of the patient care process the environment and other health care team members for a designated time frame. **Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications:** + RCP experience in an acute care facility + New graduate OK + Graduated from an accredited Respiratory Care Practitioner program + Current State of California RCP Certificate + Current CPR-BLS and CT NRP certafication (Must be through the American Heart Association) **Preferred Qualifications:** + CT ACLS + CT PALS **Overview** Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta is a member of the Dignity Health system of health care providers and is a not-for-profit medical facility. We are designated as a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital and are accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health care Organizations. In addition to our acute care hospital we also own and operate three Rural Health Clinics providing walk-in immediate care as well as scheduled appointments for routine medical needs. We are located in the northernmost area of California and are part of a network of care including Mercy Medical Center Redding and St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff.
